Distance Learning Support
School Daze at the Cambridge Recreation Center
Clark County Parks and Rec and SafeKey are offering a day program for CCSD students ages 5-12 called School Daze at the Cambridge Recreation Center. This program is FREE for families who qualify for free/reduced lunch. All Dean Petersen students qualify for this program.
School Daze at the Cambridge Rec Center provides students with access to WiFi, computer and homework help, educational activities and games, and arts and crafts. School Daze is open from 7am-6pm.
Registration is REQUIRED and space is limited. Face masks, social distancing, and a daily intake process that includes a temperature check are also required for participation.

Vegas Strong Academy @ the Clark County Library (Flamingo & Maryland Pkwy)
Programming will be provided through Jan. 1, 2021. The program provides the Las Vegas community a safe, caring and affordable childcare option, which will also provide academic and technical support for distance learning. Each site provides age and grade appropriate academic, artistic and recreational programming.
Vegas Strong Academies are open Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for children who would be in grades Kindergarten through eighth (must be five by Sept. 30, 2020 to be considered Kindergarten).

The Academic Support and Community Service Center is offering virtual after-school tutoring.

CCSD families have access to the Learning Line, a service in which CCSD personnel provide tutoring and academic support for all students via telephone to maximize learning through distance education. Available in English and Spanish.
Call 702-799-6644 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. during scheduled school days.
FACES Parent & Guardian Distance Education Support
CCSD FACES will provide academic and social-emotional parent/guardian training opportunities through the University of Family Learning (UFL) Online. The “Distance Education Support for Families” series will be made available through scheduled live/interactive sessions and pre-recorded content/videos available any time on the FACES website.
