Dress for Success Southern Nevada

is a local nonprofit organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Dress for Success Southern Nevada staff are seeking clients who need professional attire to secure employment.  They will provide one free business suite, as well as the appropriate accessories, footwear and cosmetic/toiletry items, once a job interview is scheduled.  Once a client secures a job, Dress for Success staff will provide up to one week's worth of business attire and offer a number of programs to help them find and retain employment.
Dress for Success serves job-ready women by referral only. All clients who need services must have an appointment.

To be eligible for the HOPE medical clinic, patients must be uninsured with a household income not exceeding 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Homeless patients are seen regardless of their insurance status.
​Patients seen at the “no-cost” clinic are required to “pay it forward” by performing 3 acts of kindness for 3 other individuals in the community.

The staff conducts needs assessments and referrals to appropriate services, assists families in the development of a plan to achieve employment and housing, and addresses the emergency support needs of homeless families with minor children. A variety of continuing education classes are available at the center as well, which address life skills, financial management, parenting, and good tenancy.

The Shade Tree (Women & children victims of domestic violence)

The Shade Tree Organization provides safe shelter to homeless and abused women & children in crisis. Our doors are open 24-hours a day, to any woman, with or without children, and male and female unaccompanied youth who lack a safe, adequate place to live. The Shade Tree also houses Noah’s Animal House, a pet sanctuary for shelter residents that allow women to escape abusive situations without leaving behind their pet. The Shade Tree provides temporary shelter, housing assistance, workforce readiness, and case management.

Admission to the shelter starts with a call to the Crisis Hotline (702-646-4981) and completing a confidential phone interview. The Safe Nest shelter provides not only the basic necessities but emotional, therapeutic and advocacy support for victims of domestic violence. The Harbor is a Juvenile Assessment Center that houses several community providers all under one roof. The Harbor provides free assessments and services to youth ages 17 and under, including access to mentorship, anger management, drug education, conflict resolution, family therapy, individual counseling, tutoring and more.
Families in need of help with their child can walk in or call to schedule an appointment to discuss their concerns.

The Boys Town Behavioral Health Clinic offers a wide range of outpatient services including:
parent training, individual therapy, family therapy, and psychological evaluations for children and young adults (up to age 22) who are experiencing any of a wide variety of problems, including ADHD, school difficulties, emotional issues, noncompliance, anxiety, depression, verbal/physical aggression, bedtime/sleep problems, and difficulties with adjustment (divorce, relocation, ​significant changes in the family).
In home-support may also be available for your family. Boys Town in-home family services is a research-proven family intervention that builds on a family's strength and provide families with the skills to provide a safe and stable home environment.
 

Boys Town also offers Common Sense Parenting ® classes, designed to help parents learn new skills, build on their parenting strengths and develop healthy relationships with their children.
Easy-to-learn techniques address issues of communication, ​discipline, decision-making, relationships, ​self-control and ​school success for families in all situations.
